Dr. Ann Croghan, PT, DPT, CLC, CAPP-OB took the Lactation Counselor Training Course (LCTC) back in 2017 and successfully passed the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) examination. Since taking the course, Croghan has applied much of what she learned in the course to her own practice.

The praise and support that Ann gives to her patients has always been there, which is a core aspect of lactation support. However, details about where in a breastfeeding scenario things may be going awry have changed for this CLC, who focuses on the integrity of the latch in several of her encounters.

As an obstetric PT, Croghan continues to recommend the LCTC to her colleagues. In her prenatal and postpartum physical therapy program in Colorado, she and her staff work to improve care for mothers through breastfeeding culture. In fact, most of the labor and delivery nurses at her practice are Certified Lactation Counselors.

Ann has a great blog with services, resources and events clearly outlined. Check it out here: http://www.thelocallatch.com/
