After obtaining her nursing degree in May, 2018, Ashley Roy, RN, CLC, of Farmington ME, went on to pass her Certified Lactation Counselor exam. Roy is a lifelong resident of Farmington who began her career at Franklin Memorial Hospital in 2008 as a laboratory technician. Most recently, she attended the Lactation Counselor Training Course offered by the Healthy Children Project’s Center for Breastfeeding.
As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), Roy has received the training and competency verification in breastfeeding and lactation support. With her background and credentials, Roy will provide breastfeeding support, in addition to general patient care, in the birthing center at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
